HARTFORD, Conn.— Southern Connecticut women's cross country placed second at the University of Hartford Cross Country Invitational with 55 points, behind UConn. The Owls claimed two of the top ten spots.
Junior Courtney Henchcliffe placed 5th out of 100 runners with a time of 10:57 and sophomore PJ Dauphinais placed 8th with a time of 11:16.
The Owls added three more runners in the top 15 with Abigal Bajorek (11:46) in 13th, sophomore Erin Sola (11:47.4) in 14th and Freshman Rae Geddes (11:47.9) in 15th.
Owls freshman Maya Fisher (12:50) in 48th, sophomore Michaela Hogan (13:13) in 53rd and freshman Anna Wayne (13:35) in 68th.
The Owls are back in action Saturday Sept. 21 when they travel to the UMass Dartmouth Invitational in North Dartmouth, Mass.
