SCSU Men's Soccer Defeats Pace, 1-0

Southern Connecticut State University's men's soccer team defeated Pace University, 1-0, in a Northeast 10 Conference matchup at Jess Dow Field in New Haven, Conn. With the win, Southern improved to 1-2-2 overall and remain undefeated through its first two NE10 games at 1-0-1.

Edward Mensah scored the game's lone goal in the 54th minute on a penalty kick for the second of his career. Owls goalkeeper Diego Flores made one save for SCSU to earn the shutout.

Southern is back in action on Saturday, Sept. 27 when it travels to Worcester, Mass. to take on Assumption at 12 p.m. The Owls return home to host Caldwell on Tuesday, Sept. 30 at 6 p.m. at Jess Dow Field.
