SCSU Men's Swimming and Diving Bests Assumption University, 179-71

NEW HAVEN, CONN— Southern Connecticut Men's swimming and diving bested Assumption Saturday 179-71 in a Northeast 10 conference match up at the Hutchinson Natatorium.

200 Yard Medley Relay:
A Southern Connecticut relay team of Kris Janney, Jack Simmons, Jacob Tanner and Jack Fry won the event with a time of 1:41.75. Following them in second, was another Southern Connecticut relay team of Travis Scott, Nicholas Fournier, Zach Krantz and Aiden Kennedy finished at 1:43.74.

1000 Yard Freestyle:
James Custer won the event with a time of 10:44.53. Following him in second, was Nicholas Fournier at 11:11.53. Rounding out the top three, was Korbin Conliffe at 11:17.45.

200 Yard Freestyle:
Alexander Ahrens won the event with a time of 1:51.63. Following him in second, was Jacob Tanner at 1:58.99. Rounding out the top four, were Zach Krantz in third at 2:00.83 and Jack Simmons in fourth place at 2:01.50.

100 Yard Backstroke:
Daniel Lazar won the event with a time of 56.64. Following him in second, was Richie Hall at 1:01.08.

100 Yard Breaststroke:
Ben Frazer won the event with a time of 1:01.40. Vincent Roney finished in fourth place at 1:04.62.

200 Yard Butterfly:
Dylan Prescher won the event with a time of 2:04.98. Following him in second place, was Sam Whitaker at 2:06.87. Rounding out the top three, was Nick Zerva at 2:15.52.

50 Yard Freestyle:
Aiden Kennedy won the event with a time of 22.85. Following him in second place, was Mason Durant at 23.32.

100 Yard Freestyle:
Aiden Kennedy won the event with a time of 50.41. Nick Zerva placed third with a time of 52.65.

200 Yard Backstroke:
Samir Souidi won the event with a time of 2:03.69. Following him in second place, was Mason Durant at 2:04.75. Rounding out the top three, was Sam Whitaker at 2:12.77.

200 Yard Breaststroke:
Richie Hall finished in third place with a time of 2:24.56. Following him in fourth place, was Travis Scott at 2:26.63.

500 Yard Freestyle:
Ben Frazer won the event with a time of 5:01.51. Following him in second place, was Kris Janney at 5:11.41. Placing third, was Nicholas Fournier at 5:21.19. Rounding out the top four, was Daniel Lazar at 5:31.49.

1 Meter Diving:
Elliot Speckhard won the event scoring 251.85 points, following him in second was Cole Mullarkey at 223.20.

3 Meter Diving:
Elliot Speckhard won the event scoring 248.93. Following him in second place, was Cole Mullarkey at 188.78.

Southern Connecticut is back in action on Saturday January 17 for their final home meet and senior day ceremony against Northeast 10 Conference foe Bentley University at 1 PM.
