Courtney Henchcliffe Breaks 3000m Program Record at John Thomas Terrier Classic

BOSTON, Mass. - Southern Connecticut women's indoor track & field competed at Boston University's John Thomas Terrier Classic.

Courtney Henchcliffe recorded a personal-best time in the 3000m, taking almost 20 seconds off her previous best time and breaking the SCSU Program Record in the event. The previous record was set by Kathy Milton in 1989. Her time met the NCAA Division II provisional mark for the event and ranks in the top-20 nationally in the event. Hannah Caiola placed third in the 500m, with first and second place both being professional runners. Her time is the fastest in the event in all of Division II this season, and ranks fifth all-time. Caiola already holds the third-fastest 500m time in DII history. Djamilla Toukour PR'd in the 400m as she continues a standout rookie season.
