SCSU Men's Swimming and Diving Falls to United States Merchant Marine Academy 195-105

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut men's swimming & diving fell to United States Marine Merchant Academy on Friday evening by a score of 195-105.

400 Yard Medley
The SCSU "A" Relay team of Mason Durant, Korbin Conliffe, Sam Whitaker and Jack Simmons came in fifth place with a time of 3:50.62.

1000 Yard Freestyle
Samir Souidi won the event in a time of 10:02.07. Dylan Prescher came in second with a time of 10:09.89. Alexander Ahrens came in fifth with a time of 10:29.55. Nick Zerva came in sixth with a time of 10:40.15.

200 Yard Freestyle
Ben Frazer won the event in a time of 1:47.77, Richie Hall came in fifth in a time of 1:48.97, Samuel Whitaker came in sixth in a time of 1:49.35 and James Custer came in seventh in a time of 1:57.05.

100 Yard Backstroke
Vincent Roney came in third in a time of 57.24, Kenny Lagamao came in fourth in a time of 59.80 and Zachary Krantz came in fifth in a time of 1:05.56.

100 Yard Breaststroke
Nicholas Fournier came in third in a time of 1:02.26, Travis Scott came in fifth with a time of 1:03.60, Korbin Conliffe came in sixth in a time of 1:03.75 and Jack Simmoms came in seventh in a time of 1:04.67.

200 Yard Butterfly
Aiden Kennedy came in third in a time of 2:00.99, Jacob Tanner came in fourth in a time of 2;03.97, Mason Durant came in fifth in a time of 2:04.30, and Richie Hall came in seventh in a time of 2:08.07.

50 Yard Freestyle
Jack Fry came in second in a time of 21.65, Daniel Lazar came in fourth in a time of 22.27, Samir Souidi came in sixth in a time of 23.91 and Nick Zerva came in seventh in a time of 23.92.

1 Meter Diving
Eliott Speckhard placed third scoring 234.75. Cole Mullarkey placed fifth at 196.65.

100 Yard Freestyle
Jack Fry came in second in a time of 48.32, Ben Frazer came in fourth in a time of 48.98, Daniel Lazar came in sixth in a time of 49.61 and Travis Scott came in eight in a time of 50.38.

200 Yard Backstroke
Kris Janney came in third in a time of 2:03.47, Vincent Roney came in fourth in a time of 2:04.88 and Kenny Lagamao came in sixth in a time of 2:11.51.

200 Yard Breaststroke
Samuel Whitaker came in fourth in a time of 2:17.74, Nicholas Fournier came in fifth in a time of 2:20.66, Jack Simmons came in sixth in a time of 2:26.12 and Zachary Krantz came in seventh in a time of 2:26.33.

500 Yard Freestyle
Dylan Prescher won the event at 4:50.78, Samir Souidi came in third in a time of 4:54.19, Alexander Ahrens came in fifth in a time of 5:08.07 and James Custer came in seventh in a time of 5:11.26.

100 Yard Butterfly
Daniel Lazar came in second in a time of 53.85, Mason Durant came in third in a time of 53. 87, Jacob Tanner came in fifth in a time of 54.77 and Aiden Kennedy came in sixth in a time of 55.36.

3 Meter Diving
Eliott Speckhard placed fourth scoring 218.40 points. Cole Mullarkey finished fifth at 185.03.

200 IM
Kris Janney came in third of 2:04.30, Richie Hall came in fourth in a time of 2:05.25, Zachary Krantz came in sixth in a time of 2:13.21 and Korbin Conliffe came in seventh in a time of 2:22.80.

200 Yard Freestyle Relay
The SCSU "A" relay team of Travis Scott, Daniel Lazar, Ben Frazer and Jack Fry won the relay in a time of 1:27.10. The SCSU "B" relay team of Aiden Kennedy, Alexander Ahrens, Dylan Prescher and Nick Zerva came in fourth in a time of 1:31.69. The SCSU "C" relay team of Mason Durant, Vincent Roney, Samir Souidi and Jacob Tanner came in sixth in a time of 1:34.00. The SCSU "D" relay team of Nick Fournier, James Custer, Kenny Lagamao and Jack Simmons placed 8^th at 1:37.95.

The Owls will back in action on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hutchinson Natatorium for a NE10 match up against Assumption.
