SCSU Women's Swimming and Diving Bests United States Merchant Marine Academy 199-90

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut women's swimming & diving bested United States Marine Merchant Academy 199-90 on Friday evening.

400 Yard Medley
The SCSU "A" relay team of Jillian Pritchard, Ally Quitos, Molly Kennedy, Julia Pitchell won the event with a time of 4:07.77. The SCSU "B" relay team of Zoe McNeill, Emma St. Hilaire, Aralyn Vogel and Emily Denise placed in third with a time of 4:14.19 and the SCSU "C" Relay team of Sara Roney, Rachael Bing, Claire Hanna and Ellyn Baker placed in fourth with a time of 4:16:42.

1000 Yard Freestyle
Paola Castillo won the 1000 Yard Freestyle in a time of 10:57.99. Ainsley Dall came in third place in a time of 11:38.89 and Jade Ventura came in fourth in a time of 11:42.06.

200 Yard Freestyle
Kali Dominguez won the event in a time of 1:59.85. Jasmine Uricchio came in second in a time of 2:00.60. Sierra DuCharme came in third in a time of 2:03.27 and Claire Hanna came in fifth in a time of 2:06.13.

100 Yard Backstroke
Julia Pitchell won the 100 Yard Backstroke in a time of 1:01.64, Reina Loiacano came in second in a time of 1:02.10, Ellyn Baker came in third in a time of 1:04.64 and Emily Denise came in fifth at 1:11.70.

100 Yard Breaststroke
Emma St. Hilaire won the event in a time of 1:09.61, Ally Quitos came in third in a time of 1:10.36, Aralyn Vogel came in fourth in a time of 1:13.25 and Ava Emmerich came in fifth in a time of 1:18.28.

200 Yard Butterfly
Molly Kennedy won the event in a time of 2:12.89. Sara Roney came in third in a time of 2:24.18, Sierra Ducharme came in fourth in a time of 2:25.11 and Rachael Bing came in fifth with a time of 2:40.82.

50 Yard Freestyle
Julia Pitchell came in second in a time of 25.68, Reina Loiacano came in third in a time of 25.79, Zoe McNeill came in fifth in a time of 27.33 and Julia Moody came in seventh in a time of 28.51.

1 Meter Diving
Lexi Dominguez came in second scoring 143.83 points.

100 Yard Freestyle
Reina Loiacano came in second in a time of 55.99, Kali Dominguez came in third in a time of 56.18, Aralyn Vogel came in fourth in a time of 56.69 and Sara Roney came in sixth in a time of 1:00.25.

200 Yard Breaststroke
Ellynn Baker won the event in a time of 2:31.37, Rachael Bing came in third in a time of 2:37.95 and Julia Pitchell came in fourth in a time of 2:49.22.

200 Yard Backstroke
Abby Lyons won the 200 Yard Backstroke with a time of 2:13.97, Julia Pitchell came in second in a time of 2:15.22, Ainsley Dall came in fourth in a time of 2:21.14 and Jade Ventura came in fifth in a time of 2:35.76.

500 Yard Freestyle
Molly Kennedy won the 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 5:13.96, Ava Emmerich came in second in a time of 5:28.27, Claire Hanna came in third in a time of 5:32.98 and Jade Ventura came in fifth in a time of 5:44.88.

100 Yard Butterfly
Jasmine Uricchio won the event in a time of 1:01.01, Paola Castillo came in third in a time of 1:02.68, Zoe McNeill came in fifth in a time of 1:05.36 and Molly Kennedy came in sixth in a time of 1:02.14.

3 Meter Diving
Lexi Dominguez came in second scoring 141.98.

200 IM
Emma St. Hilaire won the event in a time of 2:14.95, Abby Lyons came in second in a time of 2:17.75, Sierra Ducharme came in fifth in a time of 2:28.07 and Emily Denise came in sixth in a time of 2:32.20.

200 Yard Freestyle Relay
The SCSU "A" relay team of Molly Kennedy, Julia Pitchell, Reina Loiacano and Kali Dominguez won the event in a time of 1:42.51. The SCSU "B" team of Ellyn Baker, Jasmine Uricchio, Ally Quitos and Zoe McNeill came in second in a time of 1:47.19. The SCSU "D" relay team of Lakshmi Garofalo, Lexi Dominguez, Ainsley Dall and Julia Moody came in fourth in a time of 1:48.94. The SCSU "C" relay team of Ava Emmerich, Abby Lyons, Jade Ventura, Sara Roney came in fifth in a time of 1:51.18.

The Owls will back in action on Saturday, Jan. 10 at 1:00 p.m. in the Hutchinson Natatorium for a NE10 match up against Assumption.
