Osagie, Amy, and Brown Sweep NE10 Weekly Awards

Southern Connecticut men's track & field swept the Northeast 10 Conference's weekly awards for week 3 of the 2026 outdoor season. Osaretin Osagie was named Track Athlete of the Week, Chris Amy was named Field Athlete of the Week, and Jayden Brown was named Rookie of the Week. 

Osagie brings home his first weekly honor of the 2026 season after a dominant performance at the Wilton Wright Invitational. He placed second in the 110m Hurdles, matching his personal best time of 14.21 for the second consecutive week. That time ranks first in the NE10 and 24th in NCAA Division II, meeting the NCAA's provisional standard. He also won the 400m Hurdles with a time of 53.07, which ranks first in the NE10 and 30th in DII. That time is one-hundreth of a second short of meeting the provisional standard for the event. 

Amy takes home weekly honors for the second straight week after recording another PR in the Shot Put. He won the event at the Wilton Wright Invitational with a mark of 17.11m, ranks first in the conference and 19th in Division II, meeting the provisional standard. He also PR'd in the Discus with a mark of 46.15m, which ranks second in the NE10. This is Amy's second time being named Field Athlete of the Week after winning the award once during the indoor season. He was also named Rookie of the Week last week. 

Brown joins his fellow freshman thrower on the Week 3 award list after a breakout performance at the Wilton Wright Invitational. He won the Discus Throw with a personal-best mark of 49.98m, which is the best throw in the NE10 this season and ranks 39th in all of Division II. He also recorded a personal best in the Shot Put at 15.52m, which ranks second in the NE10 behind his teammate Amy. This is the first weekly award in Brown's career, and he is the fifth Owl to win Rookie of the Week this season, joining Amy, Sean Horrigan, Will Postell, and Colton Sallum.
