In a 1-1 week, freshman setter Kailyn O'Neal (Katy, Texas) totaled 61 assists in a pair of NE10 Contests, as well as 13 digs and three blocks. O'Neal had 22 assists - on 30 SCSU kills - in a loss at American International before she rebounded with a 39 assist outing in a 3-0 win against Merrimack. Her 39 assists in the Owls' win against the Warriors were her second-highest total of the season. For the year, O’Neal has totaled 610 kills in 22 matches and 75 sets for a 8.13 per-set average. She also has 34-or-more assists in four of her last seven games, and 39-or-more in three of her last four games.
