NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Junior Nicole Healey (Milford, Conn.) of the women's lacrosse team has been named as the Chick-Fil-A of North Haven/Southern Connecticut State University Athlete of the Week.
Healey powered the Owls to a 16-13 win over Bridgeport last week with a game-high six points (five goals, one assist) and also recorded six draw controls in the triumph. In the process, she became the fifth Owl in program history to reach 100 career points.
Chick-Fil-A of North Haven, located at 560 Universal Drive, is serving as the title sponsor of Southern Connecticut State University's 'Athlete of the Week' recognition program. Initiated in September, 2007, the 'Athlete of the Week' program recognizes one female and one male student-athlete each week for demonstrated excellence on the playing field.
