Christina Nunes (Naugatuck, Conn.) scored her first goal of the season, as SCSU traveled to Manchester, N.H. and tied No. 17 nationally ranked Southern New Hampshire on Saturday afternoon. The Owls, who are unbeaten in their last four games, are now 6-3-1 overall and 4-2-1 in NE-10 play, while the Penmen are 6-1-2 and 5-1-1 in the league.

Jenna Mallico (Milford, Conn.) found Nunes for the first goal of the game, giving the Owls a 1-0 lead.
SCSU held a 1-0 lead all the way until the last five minutes of the game, when Sophia Saint Paul connected on a penalty kick to send the game into overtime.
In the overtimes, neither team could get the game-winning goal, finalizing a score of 1-1.
Katie DiDio (Vernon, Conn.) tallied six saves in the draw for the Owls, while Stef Young made three saves for the Penmen.
SCSU will return to action on Oct. 7, as they host Pace University for a Northeast-10 Conference match. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m at Jess Dow Field.
