Nelli Miettinen Named to NEWISA All-New England Second Team

Southern Connecticut women's soccer standout Nelli Miettinen was named to the New England Women's Intercollegiate Soccer Association All-New England Second Team for the 2025 season. 

Miettinen impressed in her first season with the Owls. The freshman from Espoo, Finland, was a major part of the Owls' defense, leading the team in minutes with 1300 and starting all 15 games. She played 11 complete games, including seven-straight to end the season.
