NEW HAVEN, Conn. –
Katie DiDio (Vernon, Conn.),
Hailey Huntington (Wallingford, Conn.) and
Nicole Burton (Warwick, N.Y.) were all awarded Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honors this past week. The Owls defeated UNH on Wednesday and Southern New Hampshire on Saturday (Northeast-10 Conference Quarterfinals), improving their overall record to 12-4-2 on the season.
DiDio posted her ninth and tenth shutouts of the season this past week, earning Northeast-10 Conference Goalkeeper of the Week. She combined for a total of nine saves in the two contests, increasing her season total to 79. She has a remarkable 0.66 goals against average for the season.
Huntington tallied the game-winning goal in the 1-0 victory at the University of New Haven on Wednesday. She now has five goals and one assist on the season, placing her third on the team with 11 total points.
Burton recorded her sixth goal of the season on Saturday with the game-winner against Southern New Hampshire in the Northeast-10 Tournament quarterfinals on Saturday. She currently resides in second place on the team with 14 total points on the season.
The Owls will head up north to Rindge, N.H. to face the No. 13 Franklin Pierce Ravens in the Northeast-10 Tournament semifinals. The game is scheduled for Nov. 6 at 4 p.m.
