NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Sophomore forward
Seth Ragaini's (Seymour, Conn.) goal just 8:14 into the second half turned out to be the difference maker in Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer team's, 2-1, win over Stonehill College in Tuesday's Northeast-10 Tournament Quarterfinal Game at Jess Dow Field. With the win, the Owls improved their recorded to 13-2-2, while Stonehill fell to 7-8-2 on the year.
Senior midfielder
Victor Hernandez (Rye Brook, N.Y.) got SCSU on the board first when he scored at the 14:54 mark of the first half to put the Owls ahead, 1-0. Sophomore midfielder
Yoni Feldman (Ramat Gan, Israel) and Ragaini recorded assists on the goal.
Stonehill answered 7:09 later, as Michael Bridges scored to tie the game at 1-1. Anthony Campagnano was credited for an assist on the tying goal.
Ragaini broke the tie with 36:46 remaining in the second half as he received a pass from junior defender
Jeremy Tavares (Waterbury, Conn.) and took a shot that found the back of the net, and gave SCSU a 2-1 lead.

Andrew Esposito (East Haven, Conn.) made two saves in the win.
For Stonehill, Brandon McFarlane recorded four saves.
By virtue of the Owls' Northeast-10 Tournament Quarterfinal win, they will now host Bentley University in a Northeast-10 Tournament semifinal game on November 5. The time of the game has not yet been announced.
