Flavia Bernardes' (Sao Paulo, Brazil) first half goal helped lead the Southern Connecticut State University women's soccer team past American International College Saturday afternoon 1-0. The Owls improved their overall record to 8-1-1 (6-1-1 in Northeast-10 Conference) with the win.

Kylie Rogers (Wallingford, Conn.) assisted on Bernardes's blast from 20 yards out giving the Owls the lone goal of the game.

Jacquelyn Fede (North Haven, Conn.) recorded another shutout and saved three shots in the process.
