GARDEN CITY, N.Y.  – Senior Megan Lyons (Cold Spring, N.Y.) of the Southern Connecticut State University volleyball team recorded another double-double in kills and digs in a 3-0 loss on the road against Adelphi this evening. She managed 10 kills with 10 digs in the match.

Sarah Beres (Ellington, Conn.) had a team-high 11 kills for the Owls. Southern managed three student-athletes with atleast 10 digs, Lyons, Vanessa Sullivan (Paramus, N.J.) and Senior Megan Hiss (Trinidad, Colo.) Freshman Jessica Ryder (Waterford, Conn.) managed five digs off the bench for the Owls.

The Owls are now 19-9 overall and 8-6 in conference play.

The Owls will be back in action Saturday for their final regular season match of the 2011 campaign against  to Stonehill at 1 p.m.
