Chae Brangman (St. George's, Bermuda) kicked off the scoring in the 12th minute. He recieved a through ball from midfield and raced past the last line of defense to get to it. Assumption's goalkeeper Dana King came out of net to stop Brangman, but the sophomore forward shot past him and scored his fifth goal of the year.
Louis Greenway Tambini (Nottingham, England) joined the party in the 23rd minute with a similar goal. In nearly the same way Brangman scored, Greenway Tambini recieved a pass from
Christian Samaniego (Toronto, Ontario). He sped past the defense and caught up to the ball as King had come out of net again. Greenway Tambini shot right past him for his eighth goal of the year.
Brangman had another chance to score off a
Josh Gustafson (
Lebanon, Conn.) cross. Brangman received the pass by flicking his heel behind his head and sending the ball toward the net but off the crossbar.
Brangman led all players with five shots and Greenway Tambini was right behind with him four. Samaniego, Gustafson and
Ignacio Navarro (Norwalk, Conn.) each had two shots, while five other Owls added one each. Gustafson got his third start of the year and first since September 16 against Bridgeport.
Tom Gardiner (Portland, Conn.) got his first start of his career against Assumption. It was his third game played for the Owls and he played all 90 minutes after redshirting last year. He had one shot in the contest.
