View complete resultsNEW LONDON, Conn. - The Southern Connecticut State University men's swimming and diving team lost to Connecticut College 172-116 in New London on Wednesday afternoon.
Raymond Cswerko (Torrington, Conn.) took first place in all three individual events he competed in.
Tyler Vander Vos (South Windsor, Conn.) and
Dylan Swanepoel (Milford, Conn.) also grabbed first place finishes for the Owls.
Cswerko took first in the 100 yard breaststroke at 58.14, the 200 yard backstroke at 1:56.36 and the 100 yard butterfly at 52.44. He and the team of Vander Vos,
Travis Burke (Downingtown, Pa.) and
Brendan Murphy (Watertown, Conn.) also added a third place in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:30.13.
Swanepoel placed first in the 1000 yard freestyle with a time of 9:50.33, second in the 200 yard butterfly at 1:56.10 and fourth in the 100 yard butterfly at 53.97.
Vander Vos took first place in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 1:45.48, third in the 100 yard freestyle at 49.00 and sixth in the 50 yard freestyle 22.58.
Geist finished second in both the 1000 yard freestyle at 9:57.55 and the 500 yard freestyle at 4:50.91. He also placed third in the 200 yard freestyle 1:47.64.
Selim Lemond (Oxford, Conn.) took first place in both diving events, while
Giovanni Dauphin (Waterbury, Conn.) took second. Lemond finished the one meter dive with 257.70 points while Dauphin had 138.90. In the three meter dive, Lemond scored 273.22 points, while Dauphin scored 142.27 points.
In the 400 yard medley relay,
Christian Bouzyk (West Hartford, Conn.),
Drew Dantino (Waterbury, Conn.),
Lucas Fanucci (Malvern, Pa.) and
Matthew Demirs (Oakville, Conn.) took second place with a time of 4:04.52.
Southern Connecticut returns to action this Saturday, January 16 when it hosts Le Moyne.
