FARMINGTON, Conn. - Brianna Rovella (Farmington, Conn.) of the Southern Connecticut State University gymnastics team had a busy summer participating in outreach events. Rovella donated food to a local pantry and additional items to a local Goodwill outlet in her native Connecticut. In addition, she also took part in a walk for Multiple Sclerosis.

These events are just a few examples of many community outreach events that SCSU student-athletes take part in on an annual basis. SCSU student-athletes volunteered more than 2,500 hours of their time to numerous outreach efforts, both on-campus and in Greater New Haven, during the 2016-17 academic year.
