The Southern Connecticut State University's women's soccer team will hit the road for a two-game journey this week. First, the Owls will travel to Manchester, N.H. for a matchup with Saint Anselm at 4 p.m. on Tuesday. Then, they will travel to Worcester, Mass. for a Friday night showdown against Assumption at 6 p.m.
ALL-TIME VS. SAINT ANSELM
SCSU leads the all-time series versus Saint Anselm with a record of 11-5-2. Both teams squared off last season, where the Owls blanked the Hawks, 3-0.

The Owls lead the all-time series versus Assumption with an all-time record of 13-7-1. Last season, the Greyhounds edged the Owls 3-2 in overtime.

ARRUDA SHINES IN GOAL
Senior
Gabrielle Arruda has been stellar in between the pipes. She surpassed her career-best in saves twice last week (10 saves, 12 saves) and currently leads the conference in saves with 35.
GOING FOR THE GOAL
Juniors
Juliana Santos and
Olivia Holubecki both scored their first collegiate points in the Owls' 2-1 win over Saint Michael's. Holubecki opened the scoring, where she struck off of a corner kick and then Santos blasted a rebound for the game-winner.
SANTOS NAMED TO WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Santos was also named to the NE10 weekly honor roll on Sept. 11 for her performance in the Owls' 2-1 win over Saint Mike's.
LEADING THE SQUAD

Hannah Bodner will return to captain the squad alongside junior co-captain
Mikaela Magee for the 2017 season.
LOOKING BACK AT LAST SEASON
The Owls finished the 2016 season with a 9-7-3 record and qualified for the NE-10 Conference Tournament, where they fell to Pace, 1-0 in the first round.

ARRUDA ANCHORS THE GOAL
All-Conference performer
Gabrielle Arruda will return to the goal after a 2016 season that saw her sport an 8-6-3 with a 1.21 goals against average, .763 save percentage, and four shutouts.
