Victoria Buonanni (Durham, Conn.) scored the game-winning goal off of a penalty kick in the first half to lift the Owls over American International College, 1-0.

SCSU opened the scoring at 20:49 when the Owls earned a penalty kick off a handball inside the 18-yard box.
Buonanni slotted the ball past the goalie in the bottom left corner to score the eventual game-winning goal.
AIRTIGHT ARRUDA

Gabrielle Arruda (West Suffield, Conn.) had a stellar game between the pipes. She stopped a penalty kick at 61:51 of the game, the turning point of the match.
Arruda came up big again at the 72:31 mark, where AIC broke through the Owls' defensive line and earned a breakaway. She rushed out of the cage to make a sliding save and secure the Owls lead.
Arruda made eight saves in the SCSU victory.
