OWLS SET TO PLAY ONE HOME AND ONE AWAY
After going 1-1 last week with a win over Pace University, the Southern Connecticut State University women's soccer team will play one home and one away game this week. On Wednesday, Oct. 10 the Owls host Mercy College, with kickoff set to start at 7 p.m. The Owls will then travel to Waltham, Mass. on Saturday, Oct.13, for a 11 a.m. showing against Bentley.

The Owls are tied in the all-time series against the Mavericks, 2-2.

SANTOS NETS GAME-WINNER
Senior Juliana Santos scored the game-winning goal in the 1-0 win over Pace University for her first goal of the 2018 campaign.
BURR STAYS HOT
Freshman Kelsey Burr (Wallingford, Conn.) is on a four-game point streak with two goals and two assists.
NEWCOMERS MAKING AN IMPACT
Three of the Owls' six goal scorers are freshmen: Kelsey Burr (3), Kaitlyn D'Amico (3) and Greta Brunello (1).
MOVING FORWARD
The Owls have already surpassed their overall and NE10 win totals from a year ago.
A BALANCED ATTACK
Seven different Owls have netted a goal and nine different players have registered a point so far this season.
WAHLEN FINDING THE SCORESHEET
Junior Johanna Wahlen scored her third goal in three games in the 1-0 win over New Haven on Sept. 12. She then added a fourth goal in the Owls' win over Assumption on Sept. 22.
WAHLEN NETS FIRST COLLEGIATE GOAL
Junior Johanna Wahlen scored the first goal of her collegiate career, as she netted the game-winning goal in the 2-1 win over Queens College. Later that week, Wahlen scored again in the 3-1 win against Saint Michael's.
BURR, D'AMICO FIND THE SCORESHEET
Freshmen Kelsey Burr and Kaitlyn D'Amico tallied their first collegiate goals and points during the second week of the year. D'Amico netted a goal in the win over Queens, while Burr found the back of the net against St. Michael's.

The Owls have 11 returning players from the 2017 campaign - Nadine Hilkert, Johanna Wahlen, Rossella Graniero, Olivia Holubecki, Juliana Santos, Marisa Grisell, Kelly Lamb, Sydney Lee, Meaghan Kelley, Mikaela Magee, Gillian Hotchkiss and Kourtney Costello.

The Owls welcome 11 newcomers to the 2018 squad - Abigail Allen, Tamra Zippin, Kaitlyn D'Amico, Greta Brunello, Taylor Shutak, Georgia Teixeira, Kelsey Burr, Paula Nunez Escobar, Courtney Viglione, Amanda Dustin and Taylor Davis.
THE CAPTAIN
Senior Mikaela Magee of the Southern Connecticut State University women's soccer team has been named as the team's captain for the second straight year.
