BACK NORTH
After a season opening tour in the Sunshine State, the Southern Connecticut State University softball squad returns to the Northeast for six games this week. First, the Owls will travel to Garden City, N.Y. on Wednesday for a doubleheader against Adelphi before opening the season on home turf at Pelz Field on Saturday against Bentley and on Sunday against Stonehill.

The Panthers hold the all-time series lead against the Owls, 35-22.

Southern holds the all-time series lead with Bentley, 27-8.

Southern holds the all-time series lead with Stonehill, 19-10-1.
KEEP'EM COMIN' CONKLIN
Redshirt senior
Jaime Conklin has enjoyed a nice start to the 2018 season. She batted .529 last week with nine hits and five runs scored to help power the Owls offense. She is currently tied for second in the NE10 in batting average at .435.
MCINTOSH NAMED TO WEEKLY HONOR ROLL
Senior Bryanna McIntosh was named to the NE10 weekly honor roll on March 13 for her play in the Owls' season-opening doubleheader on March 12.
A BALANCED ATTACK...PART ONE
Coming into the week, Bryanna McIntosh, Delany Turner and
Sara Buscetto each have five RBI to lead the team in that department.

Coming into the week, the Owls have five starters batting at least .296 or better on the year.

Senior
Victoria Ceballos had a strong start in the circle during the Owls' trip to Florida, including two wins and a shutout against Minnesota-Crookston.
IN THE NE10 PRESEASON RANKINGS
The Southern Connecticut State University softball team has been selected to finish seventh in the Southwest Division of the NE10 Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll.

The Southern Connecticut State University softball team finished the 2017 season with an overall record of 8-27.
