HOW IT HAPPENED
- LIU scored a goal in the first half and a goal in the second half to capture the 2-0 win over Southern in the season opener. 
- Freshmen tandem Abigail Allen (Orange, Conn.) and Tamra Zippin (Monson, Mass.) collectively made six saves on the day.
