The Southern Connecticut State University women's soccer team will host American International College on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2019 at 7 p.m. at Jess Dow Field, followed by a home match against Saint Rose on Saturday, Nov. 2 at 2 p.m.

Prior to the start of Saturday's game against the Golden Knights, Southern Connecticut Women's Soccer will honor Juliana Santos, Mikaela Magee, Paula Nunez, Johanna Wahlen, Giavanna Colaccino, Olivia Holubecki, Marisa Grisell and Kelly Lamb as part of Senior Day.

THE OWLS LAST TIME OUT
  • On Saturday, Oct. 26, Southern played to a 1-1 tie at Saint Anselm.
  • Nadine Hilkert (Baden-Wurttemberg, Germany) scored the Owls' only goal with an assist on the play by Marisa Grisell (Brookfield, Conn.), who picked up her first point of the season.
  • In goal, Allie Smith (Danbury, Conn.) stopped four of Saint Anselm's five shots-on-goal.

ALL-TIME AGAINST AMERICAN INTERNATIONAL
  • Southern and AIC have met 21 times, with the Owls owning a 13-7-1 record all-time against the Yellow Jackets.
  • AIC won the first three meetings between the two teams before the Owls rattled off a nine-game unbeaten streak (8-0-1) from 1999 through 2009.
  • Southern has also won four of the last five meetings between the two teams, including three-straight.

ALL-TIME AGAINST SAINT ROSE
  • Southern and Saint Rose have met 11 times since 2008, with the Golden Knights holding a 9-1-1 record in the all-time series.

NOTES
  • Nadine Hilkert has scored in back-to-back games, and also has a point in three-straight games which is the longest scoring streak of the season for Southern Connecticut.
  • Hilkert contributed assists in the Owls' last two games against Saint Anselm and New Haven. She sits at two goals and one assist for five points on the season.
  • Marisa Grisell's assist on Hilkert's goal against Saint Anselm was her first point since her freshman year, which also came against Saint Anselm in a 3-0 win on Sept. 14, 2016.
  • Grisell is the 12th player to tally a point for the Owls this season.
  • Kaitlyn D'Amico leads the Owls in goals (5) and points (11) to date, as well as game-winning goals (3).
  • The Owls are 5-0 when she scores a goal, and 5-1 when he has a point.
  • Johanna Wahlen leads the team in assists (4) and sits second behind D'Amico with eight points.
  • Southern is 3-2-1 when Wahlen records a point.
  • In goal, Allie Smith is 8-5-2 with a 0.96 goals-against average and a .828 save percentage.
  • Kelly Lamb's goal against Saint Michael's was her second of the season, to go-along with two assists for six points on the year.
  • Meaghan Kelly is tied with Hilkert in points (5) with two goals and one assist while Rossella Graniero has also scored twice this season.
