The Southern Connecticut men's and women's swimming & diving teams will host Pace in a matchup of Northeast 10 Conference foes on Friday, Nov. 8 at 2:30 p.m. at the Bruce Hutchinson Natatorium in New Haven, Conn. The Owls will then travel to Worcester, Mass. on Saturday, Nov. 9 for a Quad Meet against Worcester Polytechnic Institute, Coast Guard Academy and Franklin & Marshall University.

MEN'S NOTES
  • Courtesy of CollegeSwimming.com, the Owls rank second in the NE10 at 509.45 points behind Bentley with 573.80 and ahead of Le Moyne at 509.15.
  • Junior Bryce Castellone (South Windsor, Conn.) was named the Northeast 10 Conference Swimmer of the Week on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
  • Castellone led the Owls after he won the 1,650 Freestyle, 500 Freestyle and 400 Individual Medley against West Chester and Shippensburg.
  • Freshman Andrew Buehler (Wallingford, Conn.) was also named the NE10 Diver and Rookie of the Week on Tuesday, Oct. 15.
  • Against West Chester and Shippensburg, Buehler won the 1 Meter and 3 Meter Diving events with a score of 291.70 and 230.55, respectively.
  • The 200 Freestyle Relay team comprised of Tyler Cusano, Bailey Peters, Max Padro and Colby Delia were also named the NE10 Relay of the Week. 
  • Also against West Chester and Shippensbury, Cusano, Peters, Padro and Delia finished second out of seven relay teams with a time of 1:30.03, finishing .07 ahead of the third-place team.
  • Leonardo Laporte has posted the Owls top times in the 50 Free (21.75) and the 100 Fly (51.37), both against UConn, and is second in the 200 Free (1:49.13).
  • Tyler Cusano leads the Owls in the 100 Free (49.69) and the 200 Free (1:48.60).
  • Bryce Castellone posted the Owls' top times in the 100 Breast (1:03.34) and 1000 Free (9:59.94).
  • Chandler Tucker owns SCSU's top time in the 100 Back (54.20) and 100 Breast (2:18.71) and the second-best time in the 100 Free (49.77).
  • Matthew Widlar also swam a team-best 2:11.66 in the 200 IM while Evan Bombery's 5:02.12 in the 500 Free against UConn is the Owls top time in the event.
  • Bailey Peters swam the second-best times in the 100 Back (56.57), 100 Fly (55.05) and 200 IM (2:12.06).
  • Freshman Timothy Kanaley also ranks second with times of 10:43.91 in the 1000 Free and 5:17.26 in the 500 Free.

WOMEN'S NOTES
  • Avery Fornaciari owns the Owls' top times in two events – the 1000 Free (10:56.78) and 100 Fly (2:16.93).
  • Faith Littleton sits in the top spot in the 200 Free (2:04.12) and the 500 Free (5:29.25).
  • Alina Tucker's 26.22 in the 50 Free at UConn was the Owls' top time in the event, while Morgan Fernald's 26.37 sits second.
  • Emily Darroch swam a 57.83 in the 100 Free against UConn for SCSU's top time to date.
  • Hannah Nyquist has the fastest 100 Back score at 1:04.20, while Hannah Morse has the faster 200 Back score at 2:18.62. Morse also has the second-fastest 200 IM time at 2:26.18.
  • Nicole Cislo (2:38.80) and Madelyn Dean (2:39.20) lead the Owls in the 200 Breast.
  • Lindsey Fitzgerald's 2:25.87 in the 200 IM at UConn is also the Owls' top time in the event.
