The Southern Connecticut women's soccer team host Southern New Hampshire at Jess Dow Field. Southern enters the game at 4-1-1 overall and 2-1-1 in NE10 play while SNHU is currently 4-2-0 overall including a 2-2-0 conference ledger.

THEIR LAST TIME OUT
• The Owls played to a 1-1 tie on the road at Assumption on Tuesday, Sept. 24. 
• With the tie, Southern is currently riding a three-game unbeaten streak (2-0-1) in NE10 play. 
• Senior Johanna Wahlen (Karlsruhe, Baden-Württemberg, Germany) scored her first goal of the season in the 40th minute with an assist from freshman Julia Alicea (Columbia, Conn.) to give the Owls a 1-0 lead. 
• Wahlen became the the seventh Southern Connecticut player to score a goal this season. 
• Alicea's assist was her second of the season, tying Wahlen for the team lead. She now has a point in back-to-back games after picking up an assist against Bentley for her first career point. 
Allie Smith made 10 saves in the contest, tying her career-high, which was set in Southern's game against Bentley on Sept. 21.
• The Owls have yet to allow a first half goal this season.

ALL-TIME AGAINST SNHU
• Southern Connecticut and Southern New Hampshire have faced each other 28 times with the Owls hosting a 10-11-7 record in the all-time series.
• The Owls posted a run of 7-1-1 in nine meetings between 2007 and 2014, while the Penmen have won five of the last six matchups, including back-to-back overtime wins in 2018 and 2017. 


UP NEXT
Southern will host Queens on Wednesday, Oct. 2 before embarking on a run of five consecutive road contests. After Wednesday's mid-week non-conference matchup against Queens, the Owls' next home date pits them against New Haven on Oct. 22.
