Gymnastics Finishes Fourth At Pink Invite

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The Southern Connecticut State University gymnastics team finished fourth at the Unite for Her Pink Meet. The host, Temple, finished first with a team score of 194.450, while Illinois State took second with a 193.800, West Chester took third with 192.000, Southern taking fourth with 190.250 and Ursinus College taking 186.2500.

Vault

The Owls finished with an overall team score of 47.7500 on the vault. Allie Lesperance (Valrico, Fla.) finished third overall with a score of 9.750, while Hannah Stahlbrodt (Cicero, N.Y.) finished tied for fifth with a score of 9.725. It was a season-high for Lesperance, whose previous best came against Brown Bridgeport and Brockport on Feb. 9 with a score of 9.625.
Cassidy Girolamo (Newington, Conn.) also finished seventh with a total score of 9.700.

Balance Beam

Stahlbrodt scored fourth on the beam with a score of 9.750, while both Jordan Peloquin (Greenville, R.I.) and Keara Loughlin (Lowell, Mass.) scored seventh (9.7250) and 11^th (9.700), respectively. Loughlin recorded a season-high record she previously set against Yale and Bridgeport on Feb. 9 .

Floor

Southern Connecticut took the top three spots in the top ten on the floor. Stahlbrodt finished tied for fifth with a solid score of 9.775. Peloquin and Noely Macias (Fitchburg, Mass.) finished in the eight and nine spots with scores of 9.750 and 9.7250, respectively.

All-Around

Stahlbrodt finished fifth in the All-Around category with a score of 38.425, while Girolamo topped a season-high finishing seventh with a score of 37.750.
