SCSU Men's Swimming & Diving Tops WPI, 156-140

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut men's swimming & diving defeated Worcester Polytechnic, 156-140, in a dual meet at the Bruce Hutchinson Natatorium in New Haven, Conn.
 
McCallister Milne won four events, including the 200 Medley Relay, 200 Butterfly, 100 Freestyle and 200 Individual Medley while Chandler Tucker claimed wins in three events: the 200 Medley Relay, the 200 Butterfly and 100 Freestyle. Kobe Dominguez won the 100 Backstroke, Mason Wilde won the 100 Breaststroke and Franklin Kuhn won the 500 Freestyle. Matheus Silva also won the 1 Meter and 3 Meter Diving events.
 
3 Meter Diving
Matheus Silva won the 3 Meter Diving event with a score of 258.30.
 
200 Yard Medley Relay
The 200 Yard Medley relay team of McAllistar Milne, Chandler Tucker, Kobe Dominguez and Henry Velazquez won with a time of 1:37.74.
 
1,000 Yard Freestyle
Matt Thompson led the Owls with a third-place finish in the 1,000 Yard Freestyle with a time of 10:36.66.
 
200 Yard Freestyle
The Owls took the top two spots in the 200 Yard Freestyle, led by a first-place finish by Chandler Tucker in 1:44.01 followed by Henry Velazquez in second at 1:48.42.
 
100 Yard Backstroke
The Owls took two of the top three spots in the 100 Yard Backstroke, including a win by Kobe Dominguez with a time of 54.7 while J.D. Starkey was third.
 
100 Yard Breaststroke
Mason Wilde won the 100 Yard Breaststroke event with a time of 1:00.96.
 
200 Yard Butterfly
McCallistar Milne picked up another win, this time in the 200 Yard Butterfly, with a time of 1:54.38.
 
50 Yard Freestyle
Franklin Kuhn won the 50 Yard Freestyle event with a time of 22.20.
 
1 Meter Diving
Matheus Silva won his second event of the dual meet with a win in the 1 Meter Diving with a score of 257.35. Jonathon Tressel was second with a score of 208.55.
 
100 Yard Freestyle
McAllistar Milne won this third event of the meet with a time of 47.78 in the 100 Freestyle.
 
200 Yard Breaststroke
The Owls once-again took two of the top three spots, as Chandler Tucker also won his third race of the meet with a time of 2:13.15 in the 200 Yard Breaststroke. Kobe Dominguez finished third with a time of 2:19.62.
 
500 Yard Freestyle
Franklin Kuhn won the 500 Yard Freestyle race with a time of 4:56.04 for his second win of the day. Henry Velazquez finished third at 5:00.22.
 
100 Yard Butterfly
Dylan Prescher took second place in the 200 Yard Butterfly with a time of 56.76.
 
200 Yard Individual Medley
McCallister Milne took his fourth event of the race with a time of 1:54.39 in the 200 Yard IM, while freshman Mason Wilde was fourth at 2:06.64, while Mike Aiello's point in fifth place clinched the win for the Owls.
 
400 Yard Freestyle Relay
The 400 Yard Freestyle Relay team of Franklin Kuhn, Jack Fry, Matt Thomspon and Samir Souidi posted a time of 3:21.49.
 
Southern is back in action on Thursday, Dec. 8 when they travel to Yale for a dual meet set for a 4 p.m. start. The Owls return home to "The Hutch" on Friday, Dec. 9 to host Pace at 1 p.m.
