NE10 Championships: SCSU Men In The Lead After Day 1

WORCESTER, Mass. – Southern Connecticut State University men's swimming & diving finished the first day of the 2024-25 Northeast-10 Conference Championships in first place with 96 points.

The Owls' 96 points led the field with Adelphi (82 pts.) and Bentley (77) closed behind followed by Saint Michael's (53), Staten Island (28), Assumption (25) and Pace (22).
 


800 Freestyle Relay
Southern's 800 Freestyle Relay of Drew Ladner, Ben Frazer, McAllistar Milne and Franklin Kuhn claimed the Owls' first medal of the weekend with a first-place finish with a time of 6:45.00. Ladner posted a time of 1:40.76 before Frazer touched at 1:42.15. Milne finished at 1:40.94 before Kuhn's anchor time of 1:41.15.

For Kuhn, it was the 13th NE10 Championship in his four-year career and his fourth-straight in the 800 Free Relay. It was also the 21st medal of his career. It was also Milne's 12th NE10 Championship and 14th career medal.

1000 Yard Freestyle
Owls freshman Richie Hall earned the Bronze Medal in his first championship competition with a third-place finish at 9:51.92. Luca Quiroga finished sixth at 9:56.33 followed by Aiden Kennedy at 10:02.98 and Samir Soidi at 10.04.66.
