Southern Connecticut women's soccer will host Adelphi University for an NE10 conference matchup on Wednesday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. at Jess Dow Field. The Owls enter the game at 4-2-1, and are 2-0-1 in the NE10. The SCSU women's soccer team is coming off a big defensive battle for a 0-0 draw against No.2 Saint Rose from Saturday, Sept. 17. The Adelphi Panthers stand at 5-0-1 and are 3-0 in conference play.

GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK HONORS
Southern Connecticut's Abby Allen (Orange, Conn.) was named the Northeast 10 Conference Goalkeeper of the Week, as announced by the NE10 on Monday, Sept. 19, 2022.
Allen pushed her consecutive scoreless minute's streak to 372:47 with back-to-back shutouts for the week to give her four-straight clean sheets, to date. Allen stopped both shots on goal in the Owls 1-0 win at Pace on Sept. 13 before blanking the No. 2 team in the country, College of Saint Rose, with nine saves against the Golden Knights. 

LEADERBOARD
Forwards Kelsey Burr and Kylee Slavik both have 2 goals thus far on the season and each have converted 1 assist. Midfielder Taylor Hennig has a striking 4 assists and 1 goal to lead the table with 6 points. Four other Owls each have converted 1 goal thus far: Julia Alicea, Kaitlyn D'Amico, Nicky Deslauriers, and Amanda Dustin.

UP NEXT
Southern travels to Ridnge, N.H. to face Franklin Pierce on Saturday, Sept. 24. The Owls return home on Tuesday, Sept. 27 to host cross-city rival University of New Haven.
