LAST SEASON's RECAP VS. THE GREYHOUNDS
The Owls faces the Greyhounds twice last year. The first meeting was during the regular season at Jess Dow Stadium on Sept. 21, 2021 which led to a draw after 110 minutes. The second time around, the Owls faced the Greyhounds in Worcester, M.A. for the semi-final game of the NE10 conference tournament on Nov. 11, 2021. This match also led to a draw at the end of regulation and overtime. However, the Owls advanced, 3-1, in a penalty kick shootout to advance to the tournament final vs Saint Rose.

RECAP FROM TUESDAY VS. NEW HAVEN
The Owls bounced back from a 1-0 deficit in the first half vs. New Haven to a score of 2-1 after regulation. Jadyn Reilly and Victoria Vera notched their first goals of the season. On the first goal in the '63rd minute, a scrappy mix-up following a throw-in set up Taylor Hennig to head the ball to Vera, who then sent a long through ball to meet the foot of Reilly. With one touch and then a left footed shot, the ball soared high above the arms of the New Haven goalkeeper and into the back of the net to equalize the match. Just three minutes later, Nicky Deslauriers was fouled in dangerous territory. Hennig took the free kick and floated a ball into the swarm of SCSU and New Haven players to meet the head of Vera. The ball perfectly connected with Vera to pop over the goalkeepers arms and into the back of the net.

LEADERBOARD
With the win, Hennig is tied for 1st in the NE10 conference for assists and 8th in the NCAA Division II women's soccer with 6 total. The Owls now have 9 different goal scorers on the season, with Kelsey Burr, Kylee Slavik, and Kaitlyn D'Amico leading the way with 2 goals apiece.
