Southern Connecticut gymnastics will travel to Providence, R.I. on Sunday, Jan. 29 to compete in a quad meet with host Brown University, University of Bridgeport and Rhode Island College. The meet is set for a 1 p.m. start at Pizzitola Sports Center.

  • The Owls are coming off a win in their home opener against Rhode Island College and Springfield.
  • The Owls posted a season-best score of 189.950.
  • The Owls posted season-best team scores in three of the four events, including a 47.700 in the Vault event, a 47.3750 in the Balance Beam event and a 47.050 in the Bars. 
  • Ciana Rios (Vineland, N.J.) set a team, season-high with a 9.800 on the bars in a career performance. 
  • Libby Allen (Franklin, Tenn.) scored in three events, with a second-place finish in the Floor Exercise highlighting her afternoon.
  • Hanna Zebdi leads the Owls with a 9.617 average on the Vault, while also posting a season-best score of 9.70 on the event.
  • Lexi Bracher also has a 9.7 on the season, and is second behind Zebdi with a 9.558 average.

  • Hannah Stahlbrodt is averaging 9.508 n the Bars, good for second on the Owls' roster.
