SHREVEPORT, LA. - Southern Connecticut gymnastics finished up their season with two gymnasts medaling in the final day of competition of the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championships. Erica Beyer and Gabriela Dinisoe medaled in the floor exercise and balance beam, respectively, during the individual finals session. Beyer, Dinisoe, and Libby Allen were all named WCGNIC First Team All-Americans after advancing to this session.
Dinisoe finished third overall on the balance beam with a score of 9.8125 which was her season best and one of the top performances so far in her collegiate career. She was the fifth to compete in the event and had the highest score out of the first few competitors.
On the floor, Beyer tied for fifth with a score of 9.8250 after going into the meet scoring a 9.800. Both scores are her top two performances of the season and some of the best of her career. Allen finished seventh with a score of 9.8125 after going into the day scoring a 9.850 in Session I. She is the only gymnast on the team to score a 9.800 or better three or more times this season. Allen also has scored a 9.800 or better in each of the past five meets she has competed in.
