SHREVEPORT, LA. - Southern Connecticut gymnastics student-athletes Libby Allen, Erica Beyer, and Gabriela Dinisoe all qualified for the finals session of the Women's Collegiate Gymnastics National Invitational Championships which will begin at 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 13.
The team scored 190.900 points finishing 3rd out of four teams in Session I. Southeast Missouri State finished first (193.875), Bridgeport came in second (193.325), and Greenville in fourth (187.875).
UNEVEN BARS
On the bars, Kylie Sitty scored a 9.525 for the Owls highest score in the event and Gabriela Dinisoe scored a 9.425.
BALANCE BEAM
Dinisoe qualified for the finals on the beam scoring a 9.775, tying for fourth place. Hanna Zebdi tied for sixth with a 9.750. Angel Lee scored a 9.675.
FLOOR EXERCISE
Allen and Beyer qualified for the finals on the floor scoring a 9.850 and 9.800, respectively. Allen won the session and Beyer tied for second. Abby Royer scored a 9.775 for sixth place and Zebdi scored a 9.750 to tie for seventh.
VAULT
On the vault, Brianna Dorr tied for 9th with a score of 9.625. Allen, Sitty, and Ava Kelly all scored a 9.600.
Allen, Beyer, and Dinisoe will compete in the individual finals on Sunday, Apr. 13 at 2 p.m. Eastern Time (ET).
