DURHAM, N.H.- Southern Connecticut gymnastics tied their season-high score of 193.400, coming in last behind UNH (196.550), Illinois State (195.600) and Pittsburg (194.875) on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023.
The Owls posted a season-best in Floor with a score of 48.925. Ciana Rios (Vineland, N.J.) recorded a career-high in the Floor and was the Owls highest-scorer with a 9.825. Megan Workman (Ladera Ranch, Calif.) also had a career-high in the Uneven Parallel Bars with a score of 9.500.
VAULT
Southern came in fourth place for the Vault with a score of 48.400. Hanna Zebdi (Ashburn, Va.) and Lexi Bracher (Oakton, Va.) had the top scores for the Owls each with a 9.775. Hannah Stahlbrodt (Cicero, N.Y.) scored a 9.700 while both Libby Allen (Franklin, Tenn.) and Brianna Dorr (Hampton, N.J.) had a 9.575. Elena Bailey (Woodbridge, Va.) rounded out the Owls scores with a 9.500.
UNEVEN PARALLEL BARS
Southern placed fourth in the Uneven Parallel Bars with a score of 47.500. Audrey Arnold (Kirkland, Wa.) had the Owls top score of 9.550. Ciana Rios was close behind with a 9.525 while Megan Workman had a 9.500. Jayci Jordan (Culleoka, Tenn.) scored a 9.475 while Hannah Stahlbrodt scored 9.450. Sarah Moussa (Bohemia, N.Y.) rounded out the Owls scoring with a 9.425.
BEAM
The Owls placed second in the Beam with a score of 48.575. Abby Royer (Boyertown, Penn.) had the Owls top score of 9.800 for fourth place to tie her season-high score. Angel Lee (Chino Hills, Calif.) and Emiley Kahl (Dallastown, Pa.) both scored a 9.725, while Libby Allen had a 9.675. Maria Damiano (Randolph, N.J.) scored a 9.650 and Hannah Stahlbrodt scored 9.225.
FLOOR
SCSU placed fourth in the Floor Exercise with a 48.925, a new season-high score. Ciana Rios was the highest-scorer for the Owls with a 9.825. Hanna Zebdi and Abby Royer both scored a 9.800 while Erica Beyer (State College, Pa.) and Alexa Melanson (Moncton, New Brunswick) scored 9.750. Libby Allen finished with a 9.700.
The Owls return to action on Sunday, Mar. 5 at 4:00 p.m. when they travel to Philadelphia, Pa. to face Temple University.
