Southern Connecticut gymnastics is back in action on Sunday, Feb. 5 when it travels to Providence, R.I. to take on Brown at 1 p.m. at Pizzitola Sports Center. Live results will be available for the Owls' head-to-head matchup against the Bears. 

THEIR LAST TIME OUT
Southern had a solid showing at the Rutgers February Quad Meet in Piscataway, N.J. on Friday, Feb. 3. The Owls posted a season-best 190.700 while also posting season-highs on the Vault (48.325) and Floor (48.675). Hanna Zebdi led the Owls with the Owls' two highest scores in the meet after posting a 9.750 on the Floor and a 9.775 on the Vault. Libby Allen, the team's leading scorer this season, hit on all three of her events, scoring on the Vault, Floor and Beam. 

OWLS NOTES
  • This is Southern's second trip to Pizzitola Sports Center this season after competing in Brown's Quad Meet on Jan. 29. The Owls finished third out of four teams in attendance, behind Brown and Bridgeport but ahead of Rhode Island College. 
  • Hanna Zebdi leads the Owls on the Vault with a 9.640 average while also posting a 9.675 average on the Floor. 
  • Lexi Bracher is behind Zebdi on the Vault at 9.605 while Libby Allen averages a 9.492.
  • On the Bars, Ciana Rios leads Southern with a 9.575 average while Hannah Stahlbrodt slots in at 9.545. 
  • On the Beam, Angel Lee is averaging 9.665 while Emiley Kahl is averaging a 9.340. Emelia Diaz made her season debut at Rutgers, posting a 9.525. 
  • On the Floor, AAbby Royer leads Southern with a 9.725 average while Zebdi's 9.675 ranks second. Allen is averaging a 9.660 while Eric Beyer averages a 9.555. 
  • Alexa Melanson made her Floor debut at Rutgers and posted a 9.750. 
  • Libby Allen has compiled a team-leading 122.725 points for the year, while Ciana Rios sits second at 102.875. 
  • Zebdi is the Owls' leading scorer in two events as she has accumulated 48.2 points on the Vault and 48.375 on the Floor. 
  • Rios has totaled 47.876 on the Bars, followed by Stahlbrodt at 47.725. 
  • Angel Lee leads the Owls with 48.325 on the Beam while Emiley Kahl has compiled 46.7.
  • On the Floor, Zebdi leads with 48.375 points, just ahead of Libby Allen with 48.3.
