Southern Connecticut men's swimming & diving will compete in the 2023 Northeast 10 Conference Championships on Feb. 9-12 at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, Mass.

NE10 Coaches Poll
The Owls were picked to finish second in the Northeast 10 Conference Coaches Pre-Championship Poll, as announced by the conference on Tuesday, Feb. 7.

Play It On Repeat
Both the men's and women's teams will defend their 2022 NE10 Championships when they compete at Worcester Polytechnic Institute this weekend. Both programs will be vying for their 15th conference title this season.

Count 'em Up
The Owls return their core of swimmers that accounted for 23 individual medals last season including seven individual champions. 

14 And Counting
Chandler Tucker earned NE10 Swimmer of the Meet after medaling in every event while claiming four championships. For his career, he is a 14-time NE10 Medalist, including six championships, all-time. 

Dynamic Duo
Just behind Tucker, McAllistar Milne won five medals last season, including three championships. The Owls duo enter the championship event with eight of the top times in the conference.

Lucky No. 7
In addition to Tucker and Milne, Franklin Kuhn won seven medals last season, including three championships and hosts three top-five times entering the event. 

OH HENRY
Henry Velazquez won four medals last season, including the 800 Freestyle Relay Championship and owns four top 10 times, including a pair of top 5 times. 

KOBE!
Kobe Dominguez won a pair of medals last season, and also enters the meet with three top 5 times, and another time ranked sixth. 

Northeast 10 Conference Championship Notes
  • Southern Connecticut enters the 2022-23 Northeast 10 Conference Championships as the defending champs after capturing the 2021-22 title.
  • Southern's championship last year was the 14th in program history.
  • The Owls won 12 of the first 13 NE10 Championships (2003-04 through 2008-09 and 2010-11 through 2015-16) and also won in 2017-18.
  • Head Coach Tim Quill has won 13 NE10 Coach of the Year awards.
  • 13 SCSU student-athletes have won Swimmer of the Meet Honors.
  • The Owls also won 12 Swimmer of the Year awards, nine Diver of the Year awards and three Rookie of the Year awards, all-time.
  • 11 SCSU student-athletes have won Diver of the Meet Honors.
  • Southern owns 19 NE10 Championship records all-time.
