SCSU Men's Soccer Falls To New Haven, 2-0

WEST HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut men's soccer lost to University of New Haven, 2-0, in a non-conference matchup at Zolad Field in West Haven, Conn. With the loss, Southern drops to 4-5-2 overall while UNH improved to 8-3-1.

New Haven scored in the 24th minute of play when Kaanturk Argul fed Anthony Denis for his first goal of the season to give the Chargers an early lead. Southern battled back and matched the New Haven effort, but Pau Santanach was able to find Adam Lindstrom to give the home team a two-goal lead.

Devin Juan stopped five of the Chargers' seven shots on goal in regulation, and Umberto Catale had the Owls' only two scoring chances in the game.

Southern is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 19 when it travels to Waltham, Mass. to take on Bentley at 12 p.m.
