NEW HAVEN, Conn. - Southern Connecticut volleyball fell to Mercy University, 3-0, in a non-conference matchup at Pelz Gym on Wednesday night. The Mavericks improved to an overall record of 6-4 and the Owls dropped to an overall record of 2-13.
Julia Jaworowski led the Owls with nine kills,
Raegen Emery had six kills and
Victoria Pascual had five kills. For digs,
Jalie Miller recorded a team-best of 14 digs, Emery had five digs and
Lily Miller added two of her own.
Madi Roar had 15 assists, as
Lily Miller added 10 assists and
Jalie Miller had two assists. For service aces,
Dylan Marney had a team-best of three aces,
Lily Miller and
Jalie Miller added an ace against the Mavericks.
The Owls return to action on Tuesday, Oct. 8 against Elm-City rival, University of New Haven, at 5:00 pm in Pelz Gymnasium. Southern will travel to Worcester, Mass. on Friday, Oct. 11 at 6:00 p.m. against Assumption in an NE10 matchup.
