SCSU Field Hockey Falls To No. 4 SNHU, 2-0

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut State University field hockey lost to nationally-ranked No. 4 Southern New Hampshire University, 2-0, in a Northeast-10 Conference matchup at Jess Dow Field. With the loss, Southern Connecticut dropped to 5-11 overall and 3-8 in the NE10 while Southern New Hampshire improved to 13-2 overall and 10-1 in conference action.

Lydnsay Troisi had another gutsy performance as she turned back 15 of Southern New Hampshire's 17 shots-on-goal. The Owls freshman has 27 saves in her last two games and 98 for the season. Her 8.17 saves-per-game rank third in the conference.

Southern returns to action when it travels to Pleasantville, N.Y. to take on Pace on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at 4 p.m. The Owls host Mercy for its final game of the regular season, at home on Friday, Nov. 1 at 6 p.m. at Jess Dow Field.
