DOBBS FERRY, N.Y.-Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer comes to a 0-0 draw in a non-conference match against regionally ranked Mercy. Southern Connecticut is 4-3-2 overall. Mercy is still undefeated and sits at 5-0-4 overall.
It was a back-and-forth game between the Owls and Mavericks with one shot on goal and only six corners for both teams the entire game. Southern Connecticut was able to hold this ranked team to a draw while being a man down for 35 minutes.
The Owls are back home on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 2 p.m. to take on the defending national champions and regionally ranked No. 1 Franklin Pierce. Prior to the game there will be a Celebration of Life in loving memory of former Southern Connecticut men's soccer players and national champions Kurt Kavanaugh and Richie Wisdom.
