TEMPE, AZ – Southern Connecticut gymnastics broke their all-time team score record as they posted a score of 194.400 in a dual meet against Arizona State University on Friday night. Arizona State won the meet with a score of 197.600. This was the last regular season meet for the Owls, as they will head to the GEC Championship next weekend.
On the uneven bars, freshman
Gigi Mastellone posted a team-best score of 9.800 and finished tied for fifth place. On the vault, junior
Lexi Bracher had a team-best score of 9.775 and finished in a tie for fourth place. In the floor exercise, junior
Libby Allen recorded a team-best score of 9.875. On the balance beam, freshman
Gabriela Dinisoe posted a team-best and career-best score of 9.825 and came in sixth place. The highest scoring event for the Owls was the floor exercise, where they had a score of 48.800.
UNEVEN/PARALLEL BARS
Gigi Mastellone posted a team-best score of 9.800 and came in a tie for fifth place. Freshman
Gabriela Dinisoe and senior
Jayci Jordan both recorded a score of 9.750, as they finished tied for seventh place. This was a career best for Dinisoe. Senior
Audrey Arnold and freshman
Sophia Ruecker had a score of 9.675, where they both posted a ninth-place finish. Freshman
Kylie Sitty posted a career best score of 9.650 and came in 11
th place. The Owls had a total score of 48.650 on the uneven/parallel bars.
VAULT
Lexi Bracher had a team-best score of 9.775 and finished in a tie for fourth place. Sophomore

Libby Allen recorded a team-best score of 9.875 and finished in fourth place. Junior
Alexa Melanson posted a score of 9.775 and came in seventh place.
Ava Kelly had a score of 9.750 and posted a eighth place finish. Junior

Kylie Sitty both recorded a score of 9.700, as they finished tied for ninth place.
Sophia Ruecker had a score of 9.650 and came in 12th place. The Owls had a total score of 48.800 in the floor exercise, which was their highest scoring event of the meet.
BALANCE BEAM
Gabriela Dinisoe posted a team-best and career-best score of 9.825 and came in sixth place.
Libby Allen recorded a score of 9.725 and finished in eighth place. Senior
Emiley Kahl had a score of 9.675 and finished in ninth place. Freshman
Angelina Stanfa recorded a score of 9.625 and came in 10
th place. The Owls had a total score of 48.300 on the balance beam.
The Owls will return to action on Saturday, March 23 at 12:00 p.m. at Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut for the Gymnastics East Conference Championship.
