SCSU Baseball Drops Extra Innings Game To New Haven, 4-3

SCSU baseball drops an extra innings thriller to cross town rival University of New Haven 4-3. The loss brings the Owls record to 20-16 with a conference record of 8-9.
 
University of New Haven returned to the Ballpark seeking to avenge an extra innings loss to the Owls in early April,  8-7. Jagger Duquette would start on the bump for the Owls and would go throw through six innings.
 
Billy Sullivan would prove to have a hot bat in the match up batting in the Owls first run with an RBI single that scored Chad Fedeli. Izaiah Walker would reach on a fielder's choice that would also score Sullivan from third, giving the Owls a 2-0 lead through the first three innings. In the top of the fourth the Owls would give up a two run homerun that would tie the score, 2-2.
 
Billy Sullivan would get the Owls ahead again in the bottom of the sixth inning with a RBI single that would again score Fedeli and make the score 3-2.UNH would answer with an RBI single of their own in the top of the seventh.
 
 Spencer Fox would come in relief for the Owls pitching 2.2 scoreless innings. Followed by Braeden Sparaco who would be featured in extra innings. UNH would hit a solo shot in the top of the tenth giving them the 4-3 lead. Southern would not be able to answer the run in the bottom half leading to a final score 403.
 
The Owls next matchup will be against Bentley on Saturday, April 20th at 12:00PM at the Ballpark at SCSU in New Haven,CT.
