WORCESTER, Mass. - The Southern Connecticut men's swimming and diving team won their first meet of 2025 against Assumption. They beat the Greyhounds 165 to 59.  
 

200 Yard Medley Relay 

The Owls 200 Medley Relay "A" team of Kobe Dominguez, McAllistar Milne, Henry Velazquez, and Adam Fred won the event with a time of 1:39.43. The "B" team of Austin Roney, Ben Frazer, Jack Fry, and Franklin Kuhn came in second with a time of 1:40.54.  

1650 Yard Freestyle 

Aiden Kennedy won the 1650 Free for the Owls with a time of 17:03.30. Samir Souidi followed, coming in second with a time of 17.16.37 and James Custer came in third with a time of 17:57.61.  

200 Yard Freestyle 

Ben Frazer won the 200 Free with a time of 1:48.72. Lucas Quiroga place second with a time of 1:50.53 and Zachary Krantz came in fourth with a time of 2:00.17.  

100 Yard Backstroke 

The top finisher in the 100 Back was McAllistar Milne winning the event with a time of 54.14. Franklin Kuhn came in second with a time of 56.55 and Kris Janney came in fourth with a time of 1:00.03.  

100 Yard Breaststroke 

Kobe Dominguez won the 100 Breast with a time of 59.75. Milne came in third with a time of 1:07.76 and Janney came in fifth with a time of 1:11.34.  

200 Yard Butterfly 

In the 200 Fly, Drew Ladner came in first with a time of 2:04.75. Richie Hall came in second with a time of 2:06.05 and Nick Zerva finished fourth with a time of 2:16.74.  

50 Yard Freestyle

The Owls swept the top three spots in the 50 Free. Adam Fred came in first with a time of 22.51. Jack Fry finished second and Travis Scott finished third with the times 22.71 and 23.22, respectively.  

100 Yard Freestyle 

Henry Velazquez won the 100 Free with a time of 49.87. Fred swam in exhibition and finished with the second fastest time with 50.93 but earned no points.  

200 Yard Backstroke 

Austin Roney won the 200 Back with a time of 2:02.08. Drew Ladner swam in exhibition and had the second fastest time at 2:13.68.  

200 Yard Breaststroke 

With a time of 2:26.07, Krantz won the 200 Breast. Swimming in exhibition was Hall who had the fastest time in the race at 2:21.30.  

500 Yard Freestyle 

Zerva won the 500 Free with a time of 5:27.78. Quiroga had the fastest time in the event but earned no points due to swimming in exhibition. Franklin Kuhn had the second fastest time at 5:06.52.  

100 Yard Butterfly 

Jacob Tanner won the 100 Fly with a time of 56.34. McAllistar Milne swam in exhibition and had the quickest time in the event at 52.94.  

200 Yard Individual Medley 

All of the Owls swam in exhibition in the 200 IM – they also had the top two times in the event. Dominguez had the fastest time at 2:02.79 and Velazquez was next at 2:04.17.  

200 Yard Freestyle Relay 

The Owls were in exhibition but had the top time in the 200 Free Relay at 1:28.58 - the team consisted of Frazer, Fry, Ladner, and Kuhn.


The Owls will travel back up to Massachusetts on Sunday, Jan. 19 to take on Bentley.
