MANSFIELD, Mass. - Southern Connecticut men's soccer standout Alex da Cunha has been named to the Fall 2024 Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference Team as announced by the conference on Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025. 

da Cunha was named to the NE10 All-Conference First Team, the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association All-Region Second Team, and the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team this past season. The senior has been a strong leader for the team and a key piece of the Owls defense during his four years. Throughout his career, he has been named to the United Soccer Coaches All-East Region Second Team, DII CCA All-Region Second Team, twice to the NE10 All-Conference First Team, NE10 All-Conference Second Team, NE10 All-Conference Third Team, NE10 All-Rookie Team, three times to the NE10 Academic All-Conference Team, and twice to the CSC Academic All-District Team. da Cunha is pursuing his Master of Business Administration with a 3.85 grade-point average.
