SCSU Men's Cross Country Finishes 8th at Paul Short Run

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Southern Connecticut Men's Cross Country placed eighth at the 2025 Paul Short Run in a field of 39 NCAA Division I, II, and III teams.

Jonathan Volpe led the way once again for the Owls, placing eighth out of 314 competitors with a time of 24:41.3. Two-time Northeast 10 Rookie of the Week Colton Sallum was next to cross, finishing in 39th with a time of 25:27.4. John Glidden was right behind in 40th at 25:27.8.

Frankie Porrini's time of 26:12.1 was good for 111th, and he was followed by Nate Huebner who finished in 120th with a time of 26:16.8. Ryan Gagne (132nd) and Joseph Lamburn (165th) rounded out the pack with times of 26:23.2 and 26:41.7 respectively.

The Owls continue their season when they travel to Westfield, Mass. for the James Earley Invitational next Saturday, October 11th.
