SCSU Men's Cross Country Finishes Seventh at UMass Dartmouth Invitational

DARTMOUTH, MASS.--Southern Connecticut men's cross country had a strong finish at the UMass Dartmouth Cross Country Invitational, placing seventh out of 32 NCAA Division I, II and III teams from across New England competing with 157 points. 

Jonathan Volpe led the way for the Owls with a 14th place finish out of 253 runners with a time of 24:53.92. John Glidden was 23rd at 25:14.78. Nate Huebner finished 34th at 25:28.92, with Colton Sallum closely behind at 37th with a time of 25:34.09. 

Joseph Lamburn finished 49th at 25:52.34 and Frankie Porrini finished 76th at 26:22.90. Ryan Gagne placed 89th at 26:37.29 with Dom Tartarelli behind him finishing 105th with a time of 26:53.46. 

Southern is back in action on Friday Oct. 3 when it travels to Bethlehem, PA to compete in the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh University.
