SCSU Men's Cross Country Sweeps NE10 Weekly Awards

Southern Connecticut Men's Cross Country swept the Northeast 10 Conference weekly awards for the second time this year. Jonathan Volpe was named NE10 Runner of the Week, and Colton Sallum received his second Rookie of the Week honor.

In the Owls' second race of the year, Volpe placed 14th of 253 runners at the UMass Dartmouth XC Invitational. His time of 24:53.92 helped Southern to a seventh-place finish among 32 Division I, II, and III programs.

In the second race of his college career, Colton Sallum placed 37th with a time of 25:34.09 at the UMass Dartmouth Invitational, helping the Owls to a seventh-place finish.

Volpe, Sallum, and the Owls return to the course on Friday, October 3rd when they compete at the Paul Short Run in Bethlehem, Pennsylania.
