SCSU Men's Soccer Defeats American International, 1-0 for Fifth Straight Win

NEW HAVEN, CONN.—Southern Connecticut State University men's soccer defeated American International College 1-0 in a Northeast-10 conference match-up Tuesday at Jess Dow Field. With the win, The Owls improve to a 5-2-2 overall record and 3-0-1 in the Northeast 10, while American International fell to 1-3-3 and 0-2 in Northeast 10 play.

After a quiet first half, the Owls offense woke up just after halftime when Samuel Nagy sent a cross through the box. Amos Bignotti received the cross and fired a shot past the goalkeeper in the top right corner.

The Owls are back in action Tuesday Oct. 11 when they travel to Rindge, N.H. to play Franklin Pierce at 4 PM.
