SCSU Volleyball Falls To Adelphi, 3-0

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Southern Connecticut volleyball dropped a Northeast-10 Conference match to Adelphi, 3-0, at Pelz Gymnasium. With the loss, Southern fell to 14-7 overall and 5-3 in the NE10 while Adelphi improved to 22-7 overall and 7-1 in conference play.

Adelphi took the match in straight sets, winning 25-13, 25-21 and 25-22. Southern battled back in both the second and third sets, but couldn't pull out the victory.

Sydney Bennett led the Owls with seven kills and three blocks while Sarah Stark and Kerrigan Habing each had six kills. Kimi Mitchell finished with four kills and 25 assists with six digs.



Southern is back in action on Friday, Nov. 14 when it hosts Saint Anselm for a NE10 matchup at 5 p.m. at Pelz Gym. Prior to the start of the game, the Owls will honor Sydney Bennett, Elena Bianchi, Ceci Carter, Dylan Marney and Emily Sartell for Senior Day.
